RULES FOR NCI5

A contestant forfeits their involvement in the contest if they are not present each Friday night, until they are eliminated or announced as the winner.

Each contestant must be signed in at the Exhibition Hall each week by 7pm. If you are not present to sign in, you forfeit your involvement in the competition. You may NOT have somebody sign in for you.

Decisions of the judges and voters are final. In any case where a decision can’t be reached by the judges, a representative of North Country Idol will act as the ultimate decision maker.

Entering this competition allows your name to be used in any promotional materials (audio, video, print).

Contestants must be 16 years of age or older, prior to February 10^th, 2012.

Contestants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If the winner is under 18 years of age the prize must be awarded to a legal guardian.

Winners may be responsible for taxes on the prizes.

No employees or immediate family members of Stephens Media Group, Jefferson County Fair, or Watertown Wizards may participate.

Contestants may not enhance performance by use of functional musical instruments.

No Previous First Place Winners may participate in the competition.

Winner will be given an opportunity to perform at local events as available.

If you place in Top 5, you will be required to attend the Theme Song Contest Concert on March 27, 2012. The fan vote from this event will be included in the voting at the finale.

Deadline to enter is Monday, February 6^th 5pm.
